Success Stories

What Can I Expect? Success!

The students we work with at Learning Technics are usually not slow or unintelligent. Most are very bright and capable people. Some are young students struggling in school. Some cannot read at all. Some are adults who want to do better at work and some are even "A" and "B" students.

They all know they are working TOO hard to learn. Learning Technics changed that.

Jamie - 3rd Grade
Jamie was struggling to keep up with the other children in her class. Jamie's mother knew she was bright and could not understand why school was so challenging for her daughter. She felt a program such as resource would be devastating to her daughter's
self-esteem.

After completing Technics' training, Jamie excelled in the 4th grade, receiving A's and B's in advanced placement classes.

Mark - Home Schooled
Mark had been taken out of public school when he was eight because he was extremely frustrated and unable to learn. When he started Technics' training he did not know the letters in the alphabet or basic numbers. After only 6 months of Technics' training, Mark could read on a 2nd Grade level. After reading to his mother one night, Mark said, "I feel taller, Mom!" His mother told Learning Technics that Technics' training had improved every facet of his life, including his ability to focus and memorize things, and his physical coordination in sports and games. He was now able to successfully complete tasks.

Tommy - 4th Grade Resource Student
When Tommy, a 4th grader, began Technics' training, he had been in the Resource program at his elementary school since first grade and had not made any progress in reading in three and a half years. Upon completing Technics' training, Tommy was reading at a fourth grade level along with his fourth grade peers. Tommy is enjoying school today and his mother is thrilled with his progress and the bright future her son has ahead of him.

Jodi - Adult with Symptoms of ADD
Jodi had been diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Disorder and given a prescription for Ritalin by her psychiatrist. Jodi hated taking her medication because she felt it altered her personality. By the time she graduated from high school, she was miserable and depressed.

After hearing about Learning Technics, she stopped taking her medication and enrolled in Technics' training, much to the dismay of her parents and doctors. Jodi enrolled in college and her grades jumped from a 1.9 GPA to 3.4. Because her grades were so good, she was able to become a cheerleader, a lifelong dream.

When Jodi was a senior in college, she decided to become a Learning Technics instructor. She wanted to help others in situations like hers become healthy, happy, fully functioning people without the use of drugs. Jodi says she is proof that Technics' training works for people diagnosed as ADD or ADHD.

Cory - 4th Grade
After exhausting every tutoring program available, Cory's parents felt Technics' training was their last resort. Cory's teacher at school was skeptical and concerned that the program was "some new teaching fad."

Upon completing Technics' training, Cory's teacher wrote to Learning Technics about her student's success. She said Cory became more teachable almost immediately and more successful in completing his assignments. She said she knew she was a capable teacher but her talents could not be used until Cory had the ability to understand instructions. "Learning Technics not only unlocked his ability to
learn," she wrote, "but enabled me to use my ability to teach."

Son with no diagnosis
"I was told (my son) didn't have a learning disability and that he wasn't functioning below his level, but I was skeptical. I was excited about the Learning Technics staff. Everything they said about how the brain works made lots of sense. No one had tapped into his learning style. But Learning Technics was a perfect fit for him. (He) never had a sense ...that there was a problem with him because they adapted to how he learned. He's really learned to stay focused and commit to something. He's proud of himself and what he has been able to accomplish."
–  Marilyn Rich

Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities
"I couldn't believe the improvement, not only in school, but also in attitude. She cooperates and gets along with her family much better and has a better outlook on life in general...I'm just happy to know that Learning Technics has given her the skills to assimilate knowledge. It was worth everything to see my grandchildren improve."
– Donna, Grandmother

Memory Problems
"Kaydee would learn something and then forget it. It made school very difficult for her. Since Learning Technics training, her reading has improved dramatically, she gets perfect scores on her spelling tests, and her writing skills have improved."
– Georgia

Spelling Success
"At parent/teacher conference, Audrey's teacher announced that her reading and math scores are up 20% and her spelling has improved dramatically. Audrey is even writing a science paper on the computer and she is not using the spelling check."
– Audrey's mom

A 6th grader who read on a 3rd grade level
After 6 months, Laura started making some dramatic changes. Her spelling and reading skills were on grade level. At the end of the 6th grade year, Laura was on the honor roll.

Early Intervention
"Learning Technics has made the biggest difference in his behavior and he now has the mechanics to read!"
– An excited Mother

Gets better and better
"We send our gratitude for all you have done for our son. We are still seeing the benefits of Learning Technics one year later after his training."

Improved Grades
"I thought you would be interested in Heather's progress. She's doing great! Of course she still has to work hard, but her grades are improving every quarter."
– Heather's mom

High School Success
"I'm sending you the copy of the certificate that Robert got for making the Honor Roll at (his) High School. We were thrilled that he got this honor. It's wonderful to see him trying to do his best and to see him able to do his homework on his own or with little help. Thanks for doing a wonderful job."
– Robert's mother

Out of Special Ed
"We received a telephone call from our daughters school today informing us that her reading and comprehension has so vastly improved this year that they are promoting her from "Special Ed" to a comprehensive reading and spelling class. Without Learning Technics, Katherine could never have progressed to this stage."
