Learning Technics Intercept Study - Desert News (July 29, 1993)

Learning Technics, 3761 S. 700 East, has signed a contract with Kane County and the Fredonia and Moccasin school districts in Arizona to implement a one-year program for at-risk students that begins next fall.

John Heath, Learning Technics president, said the Intercept program is designed to keep academically at-risk students in the education mainstream. He said the effectiveness of the program can be measured by the scholastic aptitude test scores of students from the school districts who participated in the program from 1989-93. Sample students experienced almost a two-year gain in one year's time, with none requiring resource programs after Intercept.
